Booking Our Facilities
We’re excited to host small private events in our Tasting Room at 204 Elk Avenue, but please note that our space will be smaller than our previous Tasting Room. It’s likely that we’ll be able to accommodate up to 20 or 25 people total, and we won’t have the same amount of space for musicians. Depending on the size of your group, a single musician or duo will probably be the best fit.
We also prefer to keep our doors open to the public during our regular business hours, especially during the busy seasons. It takes a facility fee to make it worth our while to turn our regular customers away. That said, if this is the best, coolest place for you and your group, we will always consider your inquiry. If we say yes, it will be AWESOME. Here are the types of events we can host:
After-Parties
We host last call in our Tasting Room at 9pm, so Montanya is a great place to host a private party that starts at 9:30 or 10pm.
Brunch
Think baby shower, wedding-related breakfast or brunch, a special family gathering, etc. We can offer cocktails, and you’re welcome to bring in your favorite caterer and decorate as you wish. Cocktail services could include a morning favorite like our fresh-made Bloody Mary, a full Bloody Mary bar, or The Morning Brunch cocktail bar (all fresh squeezed juices). These are scheduled between 9am and 11am.
Fundraisers:
This is one of the ways we can most effectively support our community. Let us host your fundraiser or invite us to donate cocktails or rum for your non-profit event. We can even bartend and design cocktails. (We don't say yes to every request but we try!)
Cocktail Catering:
We'd LOVE to come to your wedding, private party or liquor-licensed event to make cocktails on site. Our mixologists and bartenders specialize in Montanya Rum cocktails (of course) but we also offer a signature Colorado Cocktail Bar offering spirits, wine and beer from our favorite Colorado companies. We partner with Mountain Spirits who retails the spirits, wines and beers not made by Montanya Distillers. (Please note: We typically can’t provide this service in July—it’s a busy month—but many other times we can say yes.)
A Note on Rehearsal Dinners and Weddings:
We are definitely not the best wedding and rehearsal dinner venue in Crested Butte, unless it is the off-season. We are small (20 to 25 people total) and we don't typically cater food—only cocktails and appetizers. We don't have banquet tables, plates and flatware, linens, etc.
