Employee Spotlight: Bari Beasley

Bari’s Role at Montanya

Meet Bari, she’s done a little bit of everything in the Montanya tasting room in Crested Butte! She started as a barback at our bar and prepping food in the back of the house. Now, she mostly makes delicious cocktails, waits tables, and manages the hosting position while occasionally filling in for the back of house or barbacking. There isn’t anything in our tasting room that Bari doesn’t know how to do!

How Bari Found Crested Butte

Bari grew up in Salida, CO (the valley over from us) and visited Crested Butte a handful of times for biking and skiing. She eventually moved to the Gunnison Valley to finish school at Western Colorado University. She previously went to school in Prescott, AZ and was excited to be back in the mountains. She quickly fell in love with the valley and became a ski patroller at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. She’s enjoyed every minute living in Crested Butte.

In Her Freetime

Like most people in the valley, Bari enjoys spending her free time outdoors. Growing up in Salida, she says rafting is a big part of her life. “I spend a lot of my summer hopping on rivers, from day trips on the Taylor and Arkansas Rivers to multi-day trips on the Colorado and Salmon Rivers, and anywhere else we can manage to bring a raft.”

She also loves biking, skiing, and trail running. “It has been so fun exploring all the trails and mountains in Crested Butte’s backyard. The best thing about all these activities is that I can bring my dog, Boogie, with me.” She also loves reading, trying new crafts, and making food with her friends. There are just so many fun things to do!

Fun Facts

Bari got her first ski pass at 1 years old, she loves fermented foods, and she named her dog after the mascot for Ween, the Boognish.
